Easy Pan Fried Shrimps with Homemade Taco Seasoning
My family loves shrimp. And I love how shrimps pack a flavorful punch as a source of protein in my easy day to day meals. I have used my Homemade Taco Seasoning to make the marinade for this Pan Fried Shrimps. I add it to our leafy green salad or toss it in our pasta. My family loves spices and the almost 7 yo doesn't mind a little heat in his food. Easy recipes like this Pan Fried Shrimps will brighten up any meal.
Ingredients for the Easy Pan Fried Shrimps: (2 to 3 servings)
- 10-12 jumbo shrimps or 15-18 medium sized ones, de-veined and cleaned with their tails on
- 2 tbsp of Homemade Taco Seasoning - recipe here
- 2 teaspoons of oil
- Couple of squeezes of lime or lemon juice.
- 2 packed tablespoons of chopped cilantro
First make the marinade by whisking together the Homemade Taco Seasoning, oil and lime/lemon juice in a medium sized. Add the shrimps to the marinade and toss to coat nicely. The Homemade Taco Seasoning already has salt and black pepper in it, so there's no need to add more.
Heat oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot enough,
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side till the shrimps turn pink - if your shrimps are smaller, the cooking time will be less. Be careful not to overcook, otherwise your shrimps will become chewy and rubbery.
Serve while still hot! Add a few more squeezes of lime or lemon juice, sprinkle a fat pinch of red chili flakes. Or don't. Enjoy a meal packed with flavors and protein!
